If God is good and all-powerful, why is there pain and suffering in the world? Does God want His people to be filled with joy? Bauman speaks on author C.S. Lewis' beliefs of pain and suffering. He further describes how the goodness, power and love of God is often displayed in the suffering of His people.

In this lecture, Bywater describes witnessing to New Agers as more than simply giving them a tract. It involves engaging them as individuals. Bywater gives examples of ways in which to probe the individual about their beliefs, rather than purely making statements. He suggests that the Christian ask questions of New Agers such as, what are their fears? what are their worldviews? When asking these questions, Bywater offers these exhortations to the Christian: Do not be afraid of New Agers. Instead, understand them as individuals and remember that they are created in the image of God.
