Summit Basecamp
We’ve built our Basecamp events to equip you to speak with clarity and wisdom on the important issues facing Christians today.
Summit Basecamp is designed for parents, grandparents, church leaders, and Christian educators. If you work with youth in any way, then you need to attend these free events. Basecamp will help you understand what’s happening in our post-Christian culture. And Basecamp will prepare you to pass along truth to the next generation of Christians.
Summit Basecamp qualifies for contact hours from ACSI, AACS, ACTS, CSFLA, and FAACS.
In our Truth and Culture training, we’re starting with the idea that “truth can be known” and giving you practical tips for how ordinary Christians can spark fruitful conversations about God’s truth and build a lasting relationship in the process.
If we want to equip young students with a lifelong faith we must help them think differently about God’s truth vs. the truths they face in culture and within themselves. Dr. Jeff Myers, author of Truth Changes Everything and Summit Ministries President along with Dr. Trenton Langhofer, licensed professional counselor and professor at Colorado Christian University are our expert guides for this 3-hour event.
What is Critical Race Theory? Is it good, bad, or both? Is it misunderstood? Is it biblical? And, most importantly, what can we learn about race, justice, and unity from Scripture?

As Christians, we must understand the times in which we live, especially on the critical issue of religious freedom. On May 11 Summit Basecamp, speakers Dr. Jeff Myers, John Stonestreet, and Laurence Wilkinson prepared nonprofits, church-goers, and the rising generation to recognize the cultural shift we are experiencing, unpacked how we’ve gotten to this point, and specifically what we can do as Christians.
This important Basecamp training will strengthen your faith and inspire a newfound sense of love, purpose, peace, and hope as you reach the next generation. When we know God’s truth, we can be confident that that truth is not passive or relative — it is life-changing. Truth can change and affect every area of our lives.
Some dismiss mental health issues as a “snowflake” problem but new evidence shows that it is a complex and often deadly public health emergency. Technology has propelled the rising generation into nervous exhaustion. Economic uncertainty has robbed them of a path to success. COVID-19 and the unraveling of civil society have only added fuel to the fire.
It is time for believers to rise up and help Gen Z emerge into adulthood with strength and confidence.
Never before have your students been presented with so many options and different perspectives on how to make ethical decisions. The culture screams at us to “live our own truth” and tells us to “be a good person” while new technologies and a changing political landscape are framing our minds to focus on an idea of good that isn’t consistent with a Christian worldview. What do we need to be able to make God-honoring moral choices in an immoral world?
Summit Ministries and Life Training Institute invite you to think critically about the ethics of abortion and questions regarding issues about the beginning and end of life and technologies that directly impact our communities. Join Scott Klusendorf and Megan Almon as they help us think critically about these hard issues and help connect students to move beyond what they feel to pursue biblical truth.
Many teens suffer from isolation, depression, loneliness, and anxiety. This event focused on how pornography and the increasing use of technology plays a role in these effects. When students look for community and acceptance through technology or intimacy through pornography they slowly lose their ability to live fully as God intended and to connect with others in meaningful ways. We have the opportunity as their mentors and teachers to show them a better way to view ourselves and humanity and to live fully as Christ intended.
These students, born between 1999-2015, believe that identity comes from belief, sexual orientation, or what they do, rather than their Creator. Summit has connected with teenagers for over 55 years to answer these kinds of hard questions. At this event we welcomed worldview experts John Stonestreet, Dr. Christopher Yuan, and Caleb Kaltenbach. These speakers will equip you with information and practical strategies for helping students to navigate within a sexually broken culture.
There has never been a generation in America so thoroughly captured by the culture, so thoroughly enmeshed with social media, and so secular in its thinking about the world. How do we minister in a post-Christian culture? How does the church develop relationships of grace that do not ignore the truth? How can we help Generation Z develop a worldview that can answer the big questions in life and prepare young adults to stand for truth?
The Secret Battle of Ideas about God is Summit’s newest professional development curriculum. It is designed to help educators instill a Christian worldview into the hearts and minds of an entire school. School administrators and teachers will earn CEUs as they are introduced to the concept of worldview thinking. Participants will also examine the dominant non-Christian ideas that many believers have adopted today.

This Summit Basecamp event will equip you to engage in intelligent conversations with the rising generation. In three hours, our speakers will cut through the noise of mainstream media and clear up the confusion about the court cases. You will leave with a clear vision of what the Christian worldview says about our role in society when it comes to making a pro-life defense that will build relationships and speak truth into the issue.
