The Wheatstone Leadership Initiative

The Wheatstone Leadership Initiative

Applications are OPEN! Summit is launching the 2024-2025 cohort for the Wheatstone Leadership Initiative, in partnership with the founders of Wheatstone Ministries.

You’ve already experienced two weeks of worldview training at a Summit student conference. Now, we want to offer you the opportunity to be further trained in living out the Christian Worldview and steward the influence God has given you. Everybody has influence, but a leader is willing to use his/her influence to bring about change through the love and service of others.

This 9-month program is a highly intentional, mentored program to help you grow in conviction, character, and competence to lead others from and for a Christian Worldview in this cultural moment.

You will wrestle through understanding your life and calling through these leadership questions.

  •      “What is good that I can promote, celebrate, and preserve?”
  •      “What is missing that I can contribute?”
  •      “What is evil that I can stop?”
  •      “What is broken that I can restore?”

 You’ll be trained how to:

  •           Speak the truth in love
  •           Live a life consistent with the Christian Worldview
  •           And expose false worldviews

Wheatstone scholars will:

  • attend Summit’s 12-day student conference
  • receive monthly mentoring through a live online cohort
  • be invited to attend at least one regional in-person gathering
  • attend a capstone 6-day immersive, in-person even

Wheatstone Scholars are also invited to join any additional events hosted by Summit Ministries Graduate Support and will receive priority access to Graduate Support resources and materials.

What last year’s Wheatstone Scholars had to say about the program:

  • “Fellowship with the body of Christ is not limited to my local church; it is universal. I am overjoyed that Summit has given me the opportunity to see and experience that.”
  • “This smaller group has allowed for deeper and more challenging conversations with a group of believers who are dedicated to their faith and who want to participate in this program.”
  • “For the first time I have been in a big community of Christians who are seeking Truth and I don’t want to lose it.”
  • “[My biggest takeaway was] Understanding who I am in light of God’s calling in my life. The two that immediately stand out to me are Sean McDowell’s use of questions in order to communicate—a skill I need to exercise and grow—and Ms. Koch’s lecture on our personalities—an eye opening talk that revealed many insecurities/weaknesses I hadn’t been able to quite put my finger on.
  • Overall, it has equipped me to better lead for the Lord, and not for myself. Thank y’all so much for inviting me to join!!”
  • “The teaching was solid. I was really challenged, inspired, and equipped to become a better leader through this amazing program.”
